Task Four - Understand the techniques of music videos

To create this animatic, firstly we watched the Foo Fighters' video 'The Pretender', pausing after every shot counting how many different shots were in the 40 seconds we watched. We then re watched it listing all the different types of shots we saw through the  time we watched, this allowed us to gain a small idea of what varieties of shots we could include in our own music video.

We then watched the video, pausing again at every different shot and drawing them out on a storyboard. This allowed us to take pictures of every shot we drew and edit them together into an animatic, which has the original video in the corner, that I have shown above. The process was editing the image together so it matched the original video. Through shortening and lengthening different shots to the sound of the music, without having to match up lip syncing, it gave us practice putting various amount of shots together and realising how quickly the pace of editing needs to be to create our own music video.
